We are involved in the extraction, transportation and rehabilitation of coal in Sarawak. In line with our expansion plans, we seek a dynamic and highly committed and motivated individual for career position as stated below.
Working Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
Responsibilities:
* Assist Project Manager to manage and oversee mining production processes.
* Responsible to provide support on a variety of projects by preparing local mine designs including preparation of mine layout drawings, project scheduling and to provide support in preparing mining studies including estimation of operating and capital costs.
* Open Pit Planning for a range of mine developments
* Some project management aspects.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience in mine planning including experience in mine scheduling and mine layouts.
* With experience in surface mining of coal, especially in open-pit and strip mining methods.
* A Technologist Diploma is required in a Mining, Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological discipline, along with the appropriate combination of Mine Planning experience.
* Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, mine design and scheduling software.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
* Strong computer skills with experience in advanced functions of Excel is an asset.
