Financial Controller (Senior Accounting Manager) – Group
Position Description
Senior-level person in finance & accounting department. Responsible for leading all accounting, finance, and tax aspects of company’s core businesses in palm oil plantations & mills, and coal mining.
Scope of duties and responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
* Represent the company on key financial matter, and able to provide strategic planning of financial management and accounting
* Oversee all finance and accounting includes general accounting, financial management and regulatory reporting, internal controls, tax planning and legal issues, cash and credit control functions.
* Formulate, review, and implement internal accounting procedures or SOP, and financial systems such as cash flow management, costing and budgetary control
* Develop financial plans, analyze profitability of operations, and provide reliable financial data for decision-making
* Handle full sets of accounts, budgeting, taxation and all other related administration including legal and contractual matters
* Monitor day-to-day operational costs and overheads
* Maintain and consolidate accurate accounting records
* Liaise with banks, external auditors, and other regulatory government bodies
* Provide effective communications to all levels to drive performance and control
* Supervise and lead existing team in Jakarta and regional offices
* Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
* Willing to travel to Sumatera, and Kalimantan
* Good university degree in Finance or Accountancy. Master degree (S2) or CPA certification is desired
* Preferred oil palm plantation and/or coal mining background
* Minimum 10 years experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory role
* Must be familiar with local best practices, eg. in accounting, internal audit, taxation, accounting, investor relations, corporate reporting, and legal
* Financial Knowledge: M&A, IPO, securities
* Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia is a must. Mandarin is a plus
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office
* Excellent leadership & communications, and strong problem-solving skills
* Proven record as a contributory member to senior management team with the ability to lead and work alongside an existing accounting team
