Finance & Administration Manager/ Accountant
We are a privately-owned Singapore-based company involved in the coffee commodity business. Due to an expansion of business activities, we are seeking a capable and honest individual to be based in Dili, Timor Leste.
Finance & Administration Manager/ Accountant
A) Oversee the Finance and Admin function which includes, amongst others:
* Handle full spectrum of financial and management accounting including financial and management reporting, costing, auditing & taxation.
* Ensure timely & accurate monthly financial closing and reporting.
* Planning, directing and coordinating annual budget and monthly forecasts
* Recommend and install financial policies, practices and procedures within the company in support of the business plan and attain good corporate governance. Probe for accuracy, control deficiency and issues requiring management attention.
* Liaise with external professional (eg. auditors, tax agents, banker, company secretary etc.)
* Conduct monthly stock take with operations.
* Conduct an annual assessment of all company’s fixed assets.
* Participate in the Group’s risk management initiatives such as insurance, internal audit and business continuity planning
* Being a member of the senior management team, support the Board on ad hoc projects.
B) Handles full spectrum of HR duties which includes, amongst others:
* Payroll for daily and permanent staff,
* Preparation of Letter of Offer and induction phases.
* Process resignation / termination / vacation of office cases and administer clearance for Staff leaving the Organization
* Participates in ad-hoc projects that requires some fundamental understanding in Compensation & Benefit
* Ensure all personnel records are in order and aligned to Group practices.
C) Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant financial management experience.
* Experience working in a mill / factory / plantation sector an added advantage.
* Thorough knowledge of the business functions of Finance, Accounting, HR and business processes is a mandatory pre-requisite.
* Highly motivated self-starter and versatile team player
* A hands-on person with good business acumen
* Fluent in both written and spoken English, Malay and Chinese (optional).
