With an ever increasing focus on developing the mining and materials handling capabilities within the GHD Resources Business Group, a unique position has been developed for an experienced, career driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Mining & Industry Service Group.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Based in Jakarta office, the key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Design calculations, documentation and maintaining and developing engineering standards
* Ensuring drawing content portrays the appropriate information and design intent
* Preparing installation specifications including installation details where required
* Commissioning of equipment and systems
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities
* Liaising with the client/managers to resolve technical problems and non-conforming issues
* Mentoring other members of the team
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and experience;
* Mechanical engineering degree with experience in an engineering contracting and or consultancy organisation
* Minimum of 10 years appropriate experience
* Knowledge of mechanical equipment for Material Handling Systems, experience with coal, or similar materials, mine materials handling
* Ability to interface with a multi-disciplinary team
* Detailed knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards and practices
* Proven skills in extensive technical report writing
* Strong client focus and the experience to deliver projects on time and to budget
* Ability to play a mentor role
