Finance track – Vestas Graduate Programme – Europe & Singapore

The goal of this finance track is to obtain a 360° understanding of the financial landscape and the chain of intertwined financial processes in Vestas. You will gain insight into the finance area from the corporate, sales business and production business unit perspective. This approach will provide you with a picture of the multidimensional structure that the finance organisation is based on. The track will focus on developing business oriented finance candidates, who will strengthen the financial excellence and performance management culture of Vestas. After the Graduate Programme, Graduates will be attractive candidates for working in finance in one of Vestas’ finance departments around the world.
Group, Financial Compliance – Europe
The Financial Compliance department is responsible for identifying and assessing Vestas’ current and emerging financial compliance risks and for establishing, maintaining and communicating effective financial compliance risk, policies and procedures as well as for establishing and maintaining the governance structure for finance processes, controls and applications. As a Graduate in this department you will have the opportunity to work on various challenging tasks and projects such as, strategic and operational Financial Excellence projects, financial compliance reviews, design and maintenance of process descriptions and participation in the reporting and consolidation processes. Through this rotation you will gain a better understanding of Vestas’ financial guidelines, processes and procedures as well as the governance structure through Finance Excellence and gained experience in the internal control framework, reporting & consolidation.
Blades Production Unit, Performance Management – Europe
Blades Production Unit is responsible for the global production of wind turbine blades with eight factories located in Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Business Performance Management department is a part of the Blades HQ Finance & IT department with the main responsibility of ensuring financial input for continuous improvement and optimization within Blades. As a Graduate within Blades Business Performance Management you will work on different tasks and projects that deal with performance/process optimization, maintaining, analysing and following up on Blades’ Key Performance Indicators, ad-hoc analysis on performance and improvement initiatives, and budget/forecast support. As part of the Performance Management team you will find yourself challenged through a broad range of interaction with other departments in Blades and also be in frequent contact with a network of colleagues covering different aspects of the organisation.
Asia Pacific Sales Business Unit, Reporting & Compliance – Singapore
Vestas Asia Pacific Sales Business Unit is responsible for sales, installation and service of turbines throughout the region including Australia, India, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. The Reporting & Compliance department is responsible for the overall accounting process including financial control, financial business support, internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the Asia Pacific Sales Business Unit. Being a Graduate in this department is an opportunity for you to work on hands-on tasks and projects such as, undertaking compliance reviews, developing and handing over compliance checklists to various stakeholders, monthly review of balance sheet, creation of financial Key Performance Indicators, and various strategic and operational projects. This rotation will provide you with insight into the accounting and reporting issues dealing with a regional sales unit. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment and reaching out to different stakeholders across the business which will allow you to build a great network in the organisation.
Educational Requirements
You have recently graduated or will soon graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar Master’s degree with top results.
Department
In the 2-year Vestas Graduate Programme, you will work for different business units in different locations. You will be assigned a mentor and will naturally report to an everyday manager in each module. The Programme is aiming at utilizing your solid theoretical foundation and developing your skills and competences for a future global career with Vestas.
Each Track is made up of 3 modules in 3 different locations. You will spend 8 months at each location to build up your competence from an international perspective.
Qualifications and Work Experience
You have recently graduated or will soon graduate with a Master’s Degree relevant to the track(s) you wish to apply for. With your strong and international profile, you combine practical understanding with strong business acumen and excellent analytical and conceptual skills. As we expect our Graduates to quickly perform in various organizational settings and deliver consistent outstanding results, we expect you to have at least one year of practical and relevant experience from either internships or regular full-time employment.
