Accounts Executive (Shipping Department)
Job Description
Your role will be to handle shipping related accounts matters, analyse overseas supplies costing and to assist to maintain and enhance the level of operational efficiency pertaining to logistics while working closely with warehousing and distribution.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with overseas vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
* Manage all transactions with overseas suppliers – verify invoices with goods received, liaise with suppliers on claims if any, monitor and manage payments, verify and manage related GST payments with the customs
* Manage all transactions with shipping lines – tally all necessary import/export documents, arrange for payments and manage discrepancies
* Maintain proper records of payments, receipts and shipping information.
* Monitor and advise relevant departments on the scheduled and estimated delivery of goods.
* Monitor and analyse on the variance analysis of overseas supplies.
* Support shipping department’s activities when necessary.
* Develop initiatives to improve service and processes and lower cost
* Involve in ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required to broaden scope and exposure.
Requirements
* At least 3 years working experience in accounts payable, preferably in logistics/shipping area
* Possesses analytical skills and good communication skills (written/verbal – including Chinese)
* TradeNet and Microsoft office proficiency
* Detail-oriented, able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision required
* Results-driven and team player
* Willing to take on additional tasks, especially during peak periods
