Finance Director – Shipping!
Our client is a leading European shipping company which delivers a wide range of services to the shipping industry. With a fast growing organization, including M&A, and more actives in Asia-Pacific, we are looking for a Finance Director to take the lead over the financial operations for the company, including leading the accounting tea (10 people in total)
Key Responsibilities
* Oversees the daily financial operations within the organization in Asia
* Daily team management of 10 employees in finance, IT and administration, including development of skills
* Full accounting, financial, cost and treasury/cash management of the Group
* Leading monthly review – and quarterly and other periodic financial reports
* Leading the annual budgeting process including profit and cash flow forecast ,
* Strategic: Board meeting preparation together with CEO – 3 times per year
* Maintaining relationships with banks, auditors and lead the yearly audit process
* Participate in strategic business, tax and financial planning processes
* When needed, assist CEO to set financial goals in support of business operations and strategic directions, and implement appropriate policies and procedures to reach these goals
Requirements:
* Highly motivated individual with an Honours Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration or its equivalent.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in senior managerial roles
* Previous working experience in shipping/trading related industry is a plus
* Must have experience with tax reporting (GST) – MES knowledge is a big plus (Master Export Scheme)
* In-depth knowledge of financial, budgeting and internal controls is essential
* Strong analytical abilities combined with a systematic and structured way of working
* Possess strong people management and leadership skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills ,
* We use Axapta as ERP system, and knowledge of ERP/Axapta is a plus
