Assistant Manager / Senior Accountant, Group Tax
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively monitor, review and resolve direct and indirect taxation issues for the Group.
- Provide monthly summary on the taxation issues which affecting the Group.
- Monitor compliance and submission of relevant information to the respective countries’ tax authorities.
- Working closely with Business Managers and Project Managers to resolve taxation matters related to business and projects (i.e. advise on withholding tax, custom duties and tax treaties).
- Assist Group entities to resolve and monitor tax issues.
- Evaluate all possible tax savings and planning related issues of the Group and seek all possible opportunities to minimize tax exposure & maximize tax savings.
- Improving tax documentation for interco transactions and major transactions and ensure they are in compliance of OECD guidelines and local transfer pricing regulations.
- Assist in drafting and implementation of Group transfer pricing policies.
- Liaison with the EDB & IE Singapore on tax incentive application projects.
- Keep abreast of current taxation developments and conduct training to respective subsidiary finance managers.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* At least pursuing ACCA, a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting or equivalent.
* Analytical, incisive in identifying and reporting on trends and business risk.
* Between 5 to 7 years of tax experience, with at least 3 years of tax experience in a Big Four Accounting Firm or corporate tax function in MNC.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Good computer skills, including advanced knowledge of excel.
* Excellent communication skills, proficient in English.
* Positive, proactive outlook and a team player.
* Enthusiastic about personal development and career ambitions.
* Demonstrated flexibility in business judgement.
