Accountant
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Financial Controller and leading a small team of accounting staff, you will be responsible to:
* Supervise the daily accounting and finance functions including AR & AP transactions and payment processing.
* Ensure timely and accurate statutory and management reporting including quarterly GSTreporting and be able to manage tight month-end closing report schedule.
* Prepare financial accounting reconciliation including bank reconciliation and month-end revaluations.
* Assist in the preparation, control and administration of the Company’s annual budget.
* Manage the Fixed Asset and Inventory Control.
* Support internal and external audit requirements.
* Administer internal control policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of internal controls in accounting processes and compliance with established guidelines.
* Other duties include support to overseas subsidiary companies, master data maintenance in the Oracle Financial System and Activity Based costing.
Requirements:
* Degree in Accountancy or professionally qualified accountant with 3 years of experience in commercial sector preferable IT or equipment sales & service company.
* A hands-on person with good knowledge of financial accounting standards and GST reporting Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
* Possess good leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance to the team.
* A fast learner with a keen eye for details and able to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines in a hi-tech environment.
* Proficient in MS Office and Oracle Financial System experience will be an added advantage
