Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the timely production and submission of accurate financial information in an increasingly efficient and effective manner. Ensuring the general ledger and accounts, as assigned, are reconciled and reviewed in accordance with established policies and standards. This includes but is not limited to variance analysis. The selected candidate will plan and coordinate activities of assigned program or projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget.
Detailed job responsibilities include:
* Assist the Finance Manager in reviewing/preparing the monthly management reporting.
* Develop or facilitate developing management reports (financial & other).
* Ensure accurate completion of monthly management reports related to client income preparation, P&L reporting, and regulatory reporting.
* Monthly processing of relevant expenses and purchases as well as processing of staff expense claims as assigned.
* Monitors, reconciles and controls bank accounts as assigned.
* Assist the business and the Finance Manager in administering the transfer pricing process and procedure as required.
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of account payables and update and maintain up to date information on accruals and reserves.
* Perform balance sheet and account receivable reconciliation. Update and maintain up to date information on accruals and reserves. Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
* Assist in analyzing and or preparing the financial analysis for business cases and the post implementation review of any projects
* Analyze and prepare fee analysis/comparison reports, product profitability, client profitability and unit costing as per request by the Finance Manager.
Requirements:
* Accounting designation preferred
* Post-secondary degree majoring in finance or accounting
* At least 2 years experience in a Finance and/or accounting role
* Proficient in English (ability to read and write other languages is an asset but not a prerequisite)
* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure data integrity; high numerical literacy
* Must be able to deal with a variety of issues on a concurrent basis
* Ability to work in tight timelines and work with changing priorities
* Ability to work independently and as a team player
