Global Shared Services Accountant (Bedok – Chai Chee Technopark)
Responsibilities:
* (I) Summary
* The incumbent is responsible for financial transactions/results and day to day management of accounting and related activities of the designated Division.
* He/she has direct accountability for developing best practice for key accounting processes for the division. This position is accountable for ensuring that financial targets and related KPIs are met.
* (II) Principal Accountabilities
* (a) Financial Management
* Ensure that all accounting activities and work with dept heads to ensure that all transactions and reports are processed with 100% compliance to client, divisional and regional requirements.
* Develop clear processes that ensure cross-functional process is seamless
* Ensure the month-end close financial statements accurately reflect the activities of the countries / division
* Support in-country finance in reporting the budget & forecast figures to region/ Corporate
* Ensure all Balance Sheet / Interco reconciliations are carried out on timely basis
* Work closely with the in-country managers to meet their financial KPIs
* Handle all taxes and WHT local reporting
* Preparation of Statutory reporting and Financial Statements
* (b) People and Administrative Management
* Actively participant and ensuring that the accounting team provides quality service to internal and external customers
* Ensure increasingly productive and cost efficient ways of delivering internal and external services.
* (c) Quality Control & Productivity
* Maintain and improve quality of services provided to internal clients.
* Provide guidance and advice to the respective teams where necessary
Requirements:
* (III) Knowledge & Skills
* Prior experience in a financial accounting / reporting
* Experienced in process analysis, development of best practice and able to lead changes to improve productivity;
* High level of computer literacy;
* Good time management skills;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Drive for improvement and excellence;
* Strong capability to adapt to changes;
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver results;
* Hands-on with daily operations;
* (IV) Qualifications
* Education: Degree in accountancy or CPA preferred
* Experience: Work in similar capacity in major firms. At least 4 years working or related experience.
* Working Location: Chai Chee Technopark
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
* At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent. Job role in Financial Accounting & Reporting or equivalent.
