CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
We are starting one of the largest privately-owned petrochemical projects in Singapore. It is an ambitious venture that will give Singapore’s energy and petrochemical hub expansion plan a boost. This requires a highly successful and ambitious individual to take charge of the project’s critical financial management function.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Responsibilities:
* Formulate, implement and administer finance and accounting policies and procedures to meet Singapore financial reporting standards and International Accounting Standards as well as in accordance to company’s policies and procedures.
* Exercise financial control and institute risk and compliance management.
* Responsible for the assessment and management of financial, accounting, taxation, cost and budgetary control, fund flow and working capital management for the company in accordance to the company’s policies and procedures.
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure high standards of accounting controls, in compliance with statutory legislations, and reporting in Singapore.
* Ensure compliance to debt covenants in the initial phase project implementation.
* Oversee credit control and management to ensure all aspects of receivables are contained within desirable ranges as well as within company’s policies and procedures.
* Oversee the costing and pricing functions of the company activities.
* Act as a key part of management team for strategic, financial advisory and day-to-day decision-making.
* Liaison with external / internal auditors, tax agents, government authorities, customers, suppliers, lawyers, bankers and other third parties as and when necessary for the discharge of duties and responsibilities.
* Develop and maintain favorable working relationships with existing and potential Bankers and Investors.
* Review, implement and enhance finance / business operations and internal control systems; and execute corporate governance.
* Recommend and implement cost control and saving measures.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly management, accounting and other reports.
* Lead, implement and manage accounting management information system for the company.
* Lead and supervise a group of finance and accounting personnel to support all business requirements.
* Plan, organize and execute IPO and M&A activities. Prepare the company for potential listing on a stock exchange to be indentified in due course, which includes providing all information required for disclosure, coordination with various external advisors and compliance with all listing requirements. Institute listing procedures, compliance and reporting as well as interacting with investors, fund managers and bankers when the company is listed.
* Other task & responsibility as and when assigned.
Requirements:
* A qualified CPA/CA with a minimum of 15 years of finance / accounting experience preferably in the petrochemical industry with extensive experience in financing, banking and tax.
* Strong leader with a successful track records as Chief Financial Officer preferably with relevant experience in Fund Raising, IPO and M&A.
* Strong in optimizing debt structures,
* Good extensive networking with Bankers, Investors and Fund Managers.
* Familiar with Plant Operations in Singapore and the Asia Pacific Region
* Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the maturity and influencing skills to establish good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
* Strong ability to develop a strong finance and accounting team and put in place finance and accounting policies and procedures as a startup company.
* A strong leader with the highest professional and ethical standards.
