Underwriter
Responsibilities:
A professional Marine Trading Underwriter is sought to join this large international insurer to underwrite complex and mid to high value marine business. You will need to maintain and developing relationships with a portfolio of accounts to secure profitable renewals and generate new business in line with agreed area/segment strategies, and underwriting the associated cases within agreed processes and risk appetite. You will spend the majority of your time delivering underwriting decisions, managing Accounts and Account Plans and contributing to business development activities. All interested applicants should have sound knowledge of the international marine underwriting market. You must also be either part or fully qualified.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Marine), Mathematics, Maritime Studies or equivalent.
* At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Managers specialising in Insurance/Financial Services or equivalent.
