Risk Assurance Manager – Internal Audit (Malaysia/ Singapore)

Responsibilities:
To lead an integrated / aligned best practice approach across Malaysia/Singapore based functions, identifying and
managing risks (compliance, operational, business continuity, fraud)
A. Compliance, Business Reviews, Investigations
* global and local compliance initiatives
* risk based business reviews
* fraud investigations
B. Audit related activities will include:
* Prepare, execute, and conclude pre-audit exercises Internal and External
* Auditing adherence to locally developed SOP’s & relevant corporate policies and procedures with focus on marketing and commercial practices/processes
* Auditing local processes, operations & practices related to finance
* Auditing compliance with GPIHP & FCPA policies and SOPs and any other relevant US regulations/legislation
* Timely remediation of all audit findings (Internal, External)
* Assist with developing, maintaining and updating such SOPs reference to above as/when required
* Development and delivery of training programs for finance colleagues and finance related activities and systems to the Malaysia/Singapore based and field based colleagues.
Any other ad-hoc change management and project initiative as identified by the Financial Director and/or the Malaysia/Singapore Leadership Team.
Requirements:
An MBA degree would be an advantage
* CMIIA professional membership would be an advantage.
* 8 years experiences in Banking, FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry woud be an added advantage
* Previous audit (both external but more importantly internal)
* Proven track record of integrity and independence.
* Capable of working with Leadership Team, Directorate Leadership Teams and other business heads with a demonstrated ability to influence and operate at a senior level in the organization.
* Effective at building working relationships outside of Finance – particularly at the cross-functional team level.
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills – ability to synthesise multiple perspectives and data in order to provide clear recommendations and alternatives.
* Process and results oriented
* Strong communication and presentation skills – verbal and written. Confident in presenting numerical information to non-finance management.
* Good understanding of accounting principles and accounting systems.
* Sound IT skills – particularly in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation packages but also in the standard Finance software suite – including SUN system
* Experience of working in an effective ‘expert team’ is necessary.
* Must be able to give clear, transparent & honest feedback to team members; recognizing the good, being straightforward about areas for improvement & unacceptable performance
