Our Client, a well established MNC is actively looking for suitable candidates for the position of :
Trade and Revenue Analysis Manager (Logistics/Shipping)
Responsibilities:
• Revenue Reporting and Assurance
o Extract, reconcile, analyze and report data every period close, ensuring that there is proper revenue recognition and computation of percentage completion of revenue for the relevant trades in accordance to accounting standards and policies.
o Investigates irregular rating of Bills of Lading and initiate accounting accruals that adjust and/or correct errors.
o Gather comments and input from Trade Management on the business reasons to gain assurance of reported figures.
o Work closely with Trades and Financial Accounting to ascertain the completeness of Deferred Rebates (sales discount) made in the ledger every period end.
• Business Planning Support/Business Intelligence
o Key business partner to Trades and Regions to analyze business results, trends and outlook.
o Provide insight to the cost structure of each trade, highlighting areas of concern that elicits business decisions and actions that rectify the issues or problems.
o Research, organize and perform analysis of competitive benchmarking for the trades.
o Attend and participate in sales meetings and conferences.
• Business Performance Reporting
o Provide variance analysis and commentaries on the financial performance of the trade through the Trade Income Statements.
o Key contact in understanding the cost allocation mechanics, methodologies and concepts that drives the cost assignment in the Trade Income Statements.
o Assist in KPI reporting and performance measurement reporting of the Trades supported.
o Compare financials with minimum acceptable revenue to ensure that financial results are reflecting trends and indicators consistent with sales and yield management drivers.
• Budgeting/Forecasting
o Point contact for the trades in planning and coordinating for input in the financial planning process including the 5 year Financials and Annual Budget.
o Develop presentation materials used for review, appraisal, planning and approval by senior management and Board of Directors.
Requirements:• Good Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business/Economics
• 5 years of relevant working experience in revenue/profit/margin analysis, preferably in Shipping and Logistics industry
• Independent, resourceful & analytical
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills (oral and written)
• Self motivated team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
